From our launch sites in Oxford, Thame and Bicester, you may be lucky enough to see as far as Canary Wharf in London, Milton Keynes (and the huge lion carved into the hillside above Whipsnade Zoo), and right down to Didcot and beyond. You can see vast swathes of southern and central England from our unique vantage point from a hot air balloon high above Oxfordshire.

Unlike many companies, we only fly small balloons so you can be sure of an exclusive VIP service. Our largest balloon carries only 8 passengers, and many of our flights take place in our 4 passenger balloon, meaning that your pilot will always be there to act as host, answer any questions or queries you may have, and ensure that your flight is an experience that will stay with you for many years to come.
From your hot air balloon, you will be guaranteed amazing and serene views of some of the most fantastic scenery in southern England, along with bustling Oxfordshire towns, romantic villages, winding rivers, and some of the most impressive properties and estates in the entire country – our hot air balloons often fly over Shotover House outside Oxford and Thame Park near Thame – both of which are an extraordinary sight from the basket of a balloon!
On the third Thursday of September the county stages the Oxfordshire County Show which is the largest one day agricultural show in the United Kingdom. Altitude Balloons is based in Oxfordshire, and each year we organise the hot air balloon fly-out from the Oxfordshire County Show. Our hot air balloons regularly take off from the County Showground throughout the summer. Whichever direction our hot air balloon flight takes us, you are guaranteed a fascinating trip.
On our hot air balloon flights over Oxfordshire (Oxon) you may see Oxford, Thame, Bicester, Didcot or Banbury from above, laid out like a model village beneath you.
